The STEM Academy is designed for the extremely self-motivated student who has a strong interest in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field. Students in the Academy will follow a prescribed course sequence in these areas that will prepare students for post secondary STEM fields. This program is highlighted by students concluding the Academy enrolled in a senior year internship and capstone project.
The Allied Health Academy is a unique experience to study healthcare related courses and complete two years of clinical job shadowing and internships at Chilton Medical Center. Students will be eligible to earn 15 Rutgers University School of Health professional credits. In addition to their second year of job shadow in their senior year, students also present a capstone project.
This academy offer students a unique and specialized program that prepares them for 21st century college and careers and in particular helps them develop an understanding of Aviation careers. Students are exposed to a variety of global career opportunities in the world of manned and unmanned aviation all the while providing opportunities to apply what students learn in practical applications. In this academy students learn about the physics of flight, craft and test virtual rockets, build wind tunnels and test model planes as well as learn first-hand from our practicing pilot consultant and teachers. The program uses state of the art technology tools including drones and flight simulator stations.
